Community Arts

Goal: To enhance the quality of life in Alabama communities through the arts.

The Community Arts program supports projects that focus on community engagement and enhancement through the arts. Projects may include, but are not limited to, festivals, performances, workshops, after-school programs, or exhibitions. Multidisciplinary and collaborative projects are welcome. Grants for Organizations

  • Project Grants: $1,000-$10,000 requests for single events or workshops, such as a festival or art camp.
  • Consolidated Project Grants: $5,000-$20,000 requests for a series of interconnected events, such as a season of shows.
  • Administrative Project Grants: $1,000-$20,000 requests for organization capacity building, such as personnel support, website redesign, or staff professional development.

June 1 - For projects which will occur between October 1 & September 30
September 1 - For projects which will occur between January 1 & September 30

Grants for Individuals

  • Design Fellowships: for artists working in fashion, graphic, or industrial design. $5,000 award to support individual artistic development.
