This program provides opportunities for a limited number of underserved schools to book a performance by an Alabama performing group or performing artist. These performances include study guides that will help teachers connect the performance to on-going curriculum through preparation and follow-up activities. Invitations to participate are sent to targeted schools each fall and performances are scheduled each year between February and May. This program is free to schools and does not require matching funds. Schools selected to participate in the program must provide a follow-up report within two weeks of the performance. Schools that would like to receive an invitation should contact the Programs Assistant at rosalind.tucker@arts.alabama.gov.
