Alabama State Council on the Arts now accepting grant applications

Grants portal open for fiscal year 2022 projects

MONTGOMERY, Ala., (April 2, 2021) Alabama State Council on the Arts is now accepting grant submissions for operating support, administrative project support, consolidated projects, and project grants. These grants serve as support for arts organizations providing arts programs and activities to their communities.

To address the needs of the arts in Alabama, the Council accepts applications in the following areas: Arts in Education, Community Arts, Cultural Facilities, Folklife, Literary Arts, Performing Arts, and Visual Arts. Applicants are encouraged to read the Grant Guidelines for more detailed information on program components, eligibility requirements, and general evaluation criteria. The Council strongly encourages all applicants to contact our office to communicate with the appropriate program manager before completing an online application. Council staff will host a series of virtual programs informing and supporting grant applicants through the application period. Details forthcoming.

Applications are due by 5:00 p.m. CT on June 1, 2021, for projects occurring between October 1, 2021, and September 30, 2022:

Grants help individuals and organizations build on success and stability as part of the artistic community or bring new ideas and projects to fruition. Grant guidelines are now available.
