Yvette Jones-Smedley interviews Alabama
Dance Theatre's Artistic Director Kitty
Seale. Kitty has been actively involved in dance
as a teacher, choreographer and director for the
past 30 years. In this interview she
shares special moments from her early days as an
aspiring dance student and as an instructor of
ballet with the Montgomery Civic Ballet and with
her work with the Alabama Dance Theatre
that she founded in 1986. This year Miss Kitty
is being honored for her service to the arts. In
May she will receive an Alabama State Council on
the Arts 2013 Governor's Arts Award.
