The Artistic Literacy Consortium will support the training and development of teachers, artists and arts organzations in ways that are uniquely designed to enable quality collaborations and shared delivery systems that will provide quality arts instruction for all Alabama students. Professional development may include facilitating program design, training a cadre of educators, specific training for administrators on how to add the arts in their schools, or consulting with cultural arts organizations on how to design educational outreach programs for our schools. It may also include embedded professional development through the facilition of programs such as the Collaborating Artist Program. Other embedded designs may be requested from the Alabama Arts Alliance and the Alabama Institute for Education in the Arts.
