Young Performing Artist Program
The mission of the Young Performing Artists Consortia of Alabama is to identify
and address the specialized needs in career development of the emerging performing
artists Alabama and to provide viable creative solutions to manage development.
Who Participates/Eligibility
Performing artists who reside in Alabama, at the very beginning of a career who
offer repertoire within the categories listed and provide two appropriate letters
of recommendation are eligible to apply using these criteria:
- Currently hold a degree from an accredited college or university in a related field
of endeavor, and
- Hold local, regional, national or international credits as a lead/featured performer
with a university or professional level performing arts institute
- Has been adjudicated within the past three years through a national or regional
performing arts organizations i.e., the National Association of Teachers of Singers
or the Southeastern Theatre Conference
Using these criteria, ASCA-YPACP reserves the right to accept or reject applications.

Artists must be available for concert bookings in Alabama for a minimum of three
weeks (three day intervals) between October and September of season/fiscal year,
in order to be eligible to audition.
